We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, process, use, and share your data when you visit our website, use our AI design generation tool, or purchase our custom apparel.

This Privacy Policy is designed to comply strictly with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). By using our platform, you consent to the data practices described in this notice.

1. Our Role

Under the DPDP Act, RUDRO INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED acts as the Data Fiduciary. This means we determine the purpose and means of processing your personal data. You, the user, are the Data Principal.

2. What Personal Data We Collect

We only collect the data necessary to provide you with our services and fulfill your custom orders. We collect:

  • Identity & Contact Data: Name, email address, phone number, shipping address, and billing address.
  • Account & Design Data: Passwords, order history, your text prompts, uploaded style reference images, and the final generated AI designs (both Private and Public/Community Feed designs).
  • Technical & Tracking Data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and website interaction data (collected via cookies and pixels).
  • Payment Data: We do not store your full credit card numbers or UPI PINs. All payments are securely processed by our payment gateway partner (Razorpay).

3. How We Use Your Data (Purpose Limitation)

We will only use your personal data for the specific purposes to which you have consented:

  • To fulfill your order: Generating designs, printing garments, processing payments, and shipping products to your address.
  • To operate the Community Feed:If you choose to make a design “Public,” we use your generated image to display it to other users.
  • To improve our AI: Text prompts and style references are securely processed through our third-party AI provider to generate your custom apparel.
  • To communicate with you: Sending order confirmations, shipping updates, and responding to customer support or copyright infringement requests.

4. Cookies, Tracking, and Marketing

We use cookies, Meta (Facebook) Pixels, Google Analytics, and similar tracking technologies to monitor how users interact with our website and to deliver targeted advertisements to you on other platforms.

  • Consent: By accepting our cookie banner, you consent to this tracking.
  • Opt-Out: You can withdraw your consent for marketing cookies at any time via your browser settings or our website's cookie preference center. (Note: See Section 7 regarding users under 18).

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sellyour personal data to data brokers or third-party marketing companies. We only share your data with trusted “Data Processors” strictly necessary to run our business:

  • Shopify: To host our e-commerce platform and manage customer databases.
  • OpenAI (Third-Party AI Partner): To process your prompts and style references for design generation.
  • Razorpay: To securely process your financial transactions.
  • Logistics & Courier Partners: To physically deliver your custom garments.

All our data processors are legally bound to protect your data and may only use it for the exact purposes we specify.

6. Data Retention and Erasure

We adhere to strict storage limitation principles. We will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined above, or as required by Indian tax and accounting laws.

Account Deletion & Data Purge (The 90-Day Rule):

If you withdraw your consent or request account deletion by emailing us at [email protected], we will initiate a complete data purge. Within 90 days (3 months) of your verified request, we will permanently delete:

  • Your account profile and contact details.
  • All your “Private” generated designs and uploaded style references.
  • Any designs you posted to the public Community Feed.

(Note: Data required for tax auditing of previous purchases will be retained securely in isolation as required by law).

7. Children’s Privacy (Age 14 to 17)

In accordance with Section 9 of the DPDP Act, 2023:

  • Our platform requires users to be at least 14 years old.
  • Verifiable Parental Consent:If you are under the age of 18 (a “Child” under the DPDP Act), you must have verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian to create an account and process data on cozoul.
  • No Targeted Advertising for Minors: We do not undertake behavioral monitoring or serve targeted advertisements to users known to be under the age of 18. Marketing cookies and pixels will be disabled for accounts registered to minors.

8. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act, 2023

As a Data Principal, you have the following rights:

  1. Right to Access: You may request a summary of the personal data we process about you and with whom we have shared it.
  2. Right to Correction & Erasure: You may ask us to correct inaccurate data or delete your personal data (as detailed in Section 6).
  3. Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw your consent for data processing at any time. (Doing so may mean you can no longer use certain features of our platform).
  4. Right of Grievance Redressal: You have the right to file a complaint if you believe your data has been mishandled.
  5. Right to Nominate: You may nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

9. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed on servers located outside of India (for example, Shopify's global servers or OpenAI's servers in the USA). We ensure that any such international transfers comply with the DPDP Act and that adequate security safeguards are in place.

10. Grievance Officer & Contact Information

In compliance with the DPDP Act, 2023, we have appointed a Grievance Officer to address your privacy concerns. We will acknowledge your grievance within 7 days and resolve it within 30 days.
